The Arts & Age Conference 2018 aims to highlight the benefits of the arts to health and wellbeing of older people through the Arts & Older People Programme which is supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland's National Lottery fund, The Baring Foundation and the Public Health Agency.

Join us as we hear from:

  • Sebastian Crutch, a leading expert on rare forms of dementia and Director of 'Created Out of Mind'

  • Jan Carson, a writer who works with people with dementia

  • Una Lynch who will present case studies from the programme over the last year.


There will be an opportunity to take part in the following workshops:

  • A discussion on the latest research on dementia

  • How to facilitate an arts workshop for people with dementia

  • A taster session from a dance workshop for people with dementia

  • Hear from people living with dementia and their views on the benefits of engaging in the arts.

  • The conference is aimed at policy makers, health agencies and those working in the field of arts and older people.
